The hotel inhabits former iron ore houses built in 1910 revamped into sea view apartments. Conscious of the building’s heritage, architect, George Zafiriou, reimagined the structure to preserve its traditional design elements, adding contemporary sustainable practices and modern principles of bioclimatic architecture. Naturally, COCOMAT Serifos embraces the great outdoors, inviting guests to unplug, slow down and revive under the Mediterranean sun.
Each room includes view of the pristine beach of Vagia, a Natura 2000 protected site known for its natural beauty, where guests can fall asleep to a soothing sea breeze and the sound of lapping waves. Nearby hiking paths are also ready to explore that may well lead you to one of the island’s secluded beaches. Serifos’ dramatic peaked landscape and unspoiled character presents a guilt free island gateway.
