LIM Hotels has partnered up with renowned Greek ceramic artist Christina Morali to bring to life a one of a kind handmade ceramic scented candle inspired by the Greek Cyclades. Crafted with care and passion, this LIM candle stages the most intimate living space while transporting you to the Greek islands. Its captivating visual texture, warm touch, remarkable organic patterning, discrete scent, and almost intangible but somewhat earthy aesthetic, create a highly personalized, soulful and sensory experience.

Infused with the local aromas of sea breeze and wild fig, our signature scent is indigenous to the iconic dry Cycladic landscape. A beautiful symbiosis of the freshness of the Aegean sea with the warmth of fig resonates a definite period of time and place fostering a euphoric atmosphere reminiscent of summer in Greece.

Our collaboration with Morali and her team of artisans is a celebration of local craftsmanship. Using a traditional ceramic technique, each piece is handmade on the potter’s wheel followed by glazing and firing in an electric kiln at 1260 degrees Celsius.

HOW TO USE

To achieve a proper use, trim wick to 6mm (¼ inch) and burn until the wax pool reaches the edges of the container. Burn candle for up to four hours at a time. Move carefully the candle while burning or if wax is still hot. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Never leave a burning candle unattended.

SUSTAINABILITY

Soy wax is a vegetable wax made from soybean oil. A green product friendly towards the environment, it is completely biodegradable and continually producible without damaging the ecosystem. After harvesting, the beans are cleaned, cracked and turned into flakes, at which point their oil can be extracted. Through the process of hydrogenating, the oil is becoming solid and suitable for candle use. Soy wax burns cleaner and melts at a low temperature. This allows for an excellent fragrance throw and scent retention, without requiring chemical amplifiers.
