Known for
Sandy beachfront, sheltered bay, maritime heritage, private-pool beachfront suites, proximity to Hydra Town
Mandraki Bay once played a part in Hydra’s seafaring history, with ships built and launched here during the Greek War of Independence.
Today, seventeen suites sit between the historic stone building and low beachfront cabanas, with the sheltered bay just beyond. Mornings begin with a swim, long lunches drift into afternoons beneath a parasol, and boats settle at anchor across the water. Old stone walls and a small chapel give the property a quiet sense of place, blending naturally with its simple, contemporary feel. Hydra Town remains close — reached along the scenic coastal path or in just a few minutes by boat. Around the harbor, donkeys wait by stone lanes, small shops sit between cafés and family-run tavernas, and locals and visitors meet along the waterfront from morning until late. Then it is back to Mandraki Beach, and the quieter rhythm of the bay.
Stone, wood and sun-washed tones set the mood across the suites, some within the historic building, others close to the shore. Views move between Hydra’s rugged hills and the open water, while beachfront suites extend onto private terraces with plunge pools and shaded places to linger. Above them, the Tower Suite looks across the bay from its elevated setting. Interiors remain simple and understated, leaving the landscape to do most of the talking.
